Ahrens Memory Garden was first established to be a memorial in honor of the corner drug store that used to be a popular hangout place for kids growing up in the 50’s and 60’s,but is also a place for on goers to take a seat and relax while enjoying beautiful scenery. Many citizens enjoy having a quaint reflection and short time to remember the good things in life. Ahrens Memory Garden features scenic plants and flowers including roses, spruces, hostas, daylilies, clematis, and many more. Besides plants and flowers there are figurines, benches, decorative street lamps, picnic tables, brick walkways, and a waterfall to add to the breath-taking scenery. The Ahrens Memory Garden will no doubt be a treasured gathering place for the community for years to come. It is a great example of what a community is supposed to exemplify, everyone working together for the benefit of others.
